What inspired the brand name?
The brand name came from religious beliefs and then I made my own meaning with it and that meaning was the "new era" I don't really push that phrase much anymore just because my vision for the brand over the years has grown and continues to grow regardless it is still the foundation of the brand.
At what moment did you realize you wanted to start a brand?
I realized I wanted to start a brand when I ran out of paper in my notebook to write down messages or sketch my ideas, I've always wanted to put out some sort of message and clothing was the direction I went towards.
What helps you get over creative blocks?
As a creative, barriers and roadblocks happen regularly. For me, I just think of where I could be in the near future if I keep pushing ideas out and taking the right steps.
What is the biggest mistake you have made?
The biggest mistake I would say is how much money I wasted going to embroidery shops when I was using blanks, it definitely could have been avoidable if I had some more insight. I don't regret though I'm glad it happened because its something I learned from.
What is the biggest success you have had?
Definitely the quality of work/product I have been able to put out and the amount of growth we as a brand have achieved and continue to achieve.
A source of inspiration people may find weird?
I see things differently than most people so anything will inspire me, anything from patterns on a carpet or even furniture.
Favorite color to use?
Red for sure, its always been a colour that has caught my eye since I was a kid and growing up the colour has always had a meaning to it to me. You'll see the colour red representing the brand a whole lot in future.
Another Brand that inspires you and why?
Atelier New Regime, you can tell that they don't just want the consumer to see the end product but the whole thought process that the creative director went through when the product was being created.
Where do you see yourself and the brand in 1 year and 5 years?
I see us having a wider reach, putting out even more quality work and products.
