BAPE has unveiled its new Chusen collection, a summer-ready capsule featuring the brand’s signature patterns.
Just in time for the warm season, this collection includes lightweight button-down shirts, shorts, T-shirts, and bucket hats. Available in two colorways, the pieces come in either blue and brown camo or black and white.
The button-down shirts feature adjustable cords at the hem and two zippered pockets, with a small BAPE logo on the right chest. The shorts are also adjustable, equipped with a built-in belt. Matching hats and T-shirts complete the ensemble, providing a cohesive and stylish summer outfit.
The collection employs Chusen, a traditional Japanese dyeing technique developed around 150 years ago. Though the garments may resemble tie-dye, Chusen uses a unique method where dye is poured from the top of the fabric, creating a blurred effect as it bleeds down. According to BAPE, only a few machines in Japan are capable of performing this intricate process.
BAPE’s new Chusen collection will be available online and in stores starting Saturday, June 22.
