What inspired the brand name?
The name of the brand is a fusion between "wave" and "vague" (french term for a wave). Representing the cultural and artistic renaissance that is happening in Morocco.
At what moment did you realize you wanted to start a brand?
By the end of 2017, freshly graduated and passionate about the rise of street-wear as a cultural movement. I looked for local brands that would embody this fashion revolutionary movement, but i found none. So i decided to start .wag, for it to be the first legit street-wear brand in Morocco.
What helps you get over creative blocks?
Creative Blocks are inevitable, when that happens, i try to change the scenery and forget about the project in hand. Exposing myself to different kinds of artistic and cultural stimuli (Music, Paintings, Graphic Design, Movies and TV Shows) is also a very effective way to get over them.
What is the biggest mistake you have made?
Wasting time caring about other people's opinions.
What is the biggest success you have had?
Believing in myself, and turning ambitions into reality. it takes a lot of will to go from wishful thinking into actually doing it. And when you finally do it, and you get great feedback from people and see the interest growing, that's a success in itself!

Favorite color to use?
Cold Colors (green, blue, indigo and purple), always find myself drawn to them.
ARE THERE ANY RETAIL SHOPS YOU WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU BRAND IN?
I hope one day to see our products selling at Dickies, or Chinatown Market, that would be amazing.
ANOTHER BRAND THAT INSPIRES YOU AND WHY?
here a lot of brands that inspire me, but i feel like two specific brands have had a lot of impact on my work. Noah Clothing, and Pleasures. Both have great aesthetics and manifest ideas in very interesting ways.
Where do you see yourself and the brand in 1 year and 5 years?
In 1 year, we will have done several pop-up shows, collaborated with local and international artists and got more international recognition.
in 5 years, the goal is to have our own complete production unit, and secure collaborations with international brands.
