What inspired the brand name?
Seven has always been my favorite number and has always followed me through elementary and into adulthood. So I decided to put a creative twist with the spelling (Sevn). Fader means gradually increasing in the music industry. I believe in always growing and never settling so idk I just went with it. So Sevn Fader was created.
At what moment did you realize you wanted to start a brand?
I dream of creating a brand back 2012. And it finally came into fruition in 2020 no hand outs just great work ethic. Clothing is just not clothes to me, it’s an expression, a statement. When you walk into a room you should get looks and complements on what you have on from the shirt you have on to the shoes.
What helps you get over creative blocks?
I put on some great meaningful music like J.Cole, Tobe Nwigwe, and some old school Kanye.
What is the biggest mistake you have made?
The biggest mistake I’ve made was doubting myself and my ability to create great things.
What is the biggest success you have had?
I would say, creating this brand. I literally done it all alone no friends no significant other just me. And I am very proud of that.
A SOURCE OF INSPIRATION PEOPLE MAY FIND WEIRD?
When people tell me I can’t do anything, or that my clothing won’t sell. I’m determined to prove them wrong.
Favorite color to use?
I love, nudes ,grey’s, blacks and maybe add a bright color on top of the clothing to make it “pop”
ARE THERE ANY RETAIL SHOPS YOU WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU BRAND IN?
Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, and eventually having my own store in Downtown LA on Fairfax Ave.
ANOTHER BRAND THAT INSPIRES YOU AND WHY?
I would at the moment TIER NYC is an inspiration. It is a black owned business that started very small and is constantly growing. I just love the way their supporters support them.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF AND THE BRAND IN 1 YEAR AND 5 YEARS?
My 5 year plan is to have a staff of maybe 10 and have a couple stores open.

Iconic, legendary, creative, meaningful and most importantly GREAT.
