What inspired the brand name?

Most people think because the brand name itself says Denied that it means I got rejected from something but that isn't the case at all, The brand name just means to never let ur goals slip out of ur hands, never get turned down by anything .. just always keep working.

At what moment did you realize you wanted to start a brand?

I was in high school, all of my friends and other associates in school already knew what they wanted to do. Everyone I knew was already trying to enroll in colleges and I knew Thats not what I wanted although nothing is bad about that I just wanted to try something different.

What helps you get over creative blocks?

Music, when I create I just like to be left alone on an empty mind. I start getting in this zone when I block everything I have going on out and just constantly work I get the out come I was searching for. Music helps out a lot in many ways, it creates these imaginary images in ur head. It like Translates one way of art into another.

What is the biggest mistake you have made?

Many that I’m not afraid to admit but also I never take it as mistakes, I just jot them down and use it as a reference on why not to do it again. With having a brand you can’t ever mess up, it’s always a lesson learned that you can use to be better. That’s what separates you from everyone else. If I had to name one though it would have to be marketing / advertising, Thats something HUGE that not a lot of ppl I guess focus on so definitely something I’ve been working and getting better at.

What is the biggest success you have had?

The biggest success I ever had still hasn't even came upon yet. To me every time I drop is my biggest success, it just gets better and better every drop and the more I drop the more I see people support me. That right there has to be my most happiest moments because to see urself grow considering the fact that I've started this brand from nothing means a lot for sure.

A SOURCE OF INSPIRATION PEOPLE MAY FIND WEIRD?

Honestly, I'd have to say no and the reason for that is because I like to be a bit more original. There's nothing wrong with being inspired but I think too many people get that word mixed up and they just steal the whole idea. I've definitely been inspired though and I'd say it's from my friends, having a brand is a lifestyle it's not just a brand. Everything I make is stuff me and my friends would wear and people just happen to love it.

Favorite color to use?

Black, I like to keep it simple

ARE THERE ANY RETAIL SHOPS YOU WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU BRAND IN?

There's so many retail and resell shops I would love my clothes to be in. Any store in Houston I would love to work with because that right there is an accomplishment of its own! there's no one specific, I love them all.

ANOTHER BRAND THAT INSPIRES YOU AND WHY?

I like a lot of old Japanese brands such as undercover, number nine, kapital etc. To me they focus on quality and rather not quantity, If you ever held a piece of their clothes you will see all the little details and the time and effort that goes into their garments. That's something I'm huge on and something I'm trying to perfect, I love clothes that feels valuable, it's not always the look.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF AND THE BRAND IN 1 YEAR AND 5 YEARS?

In 1 year I want to be obviously in a better position than now and it's also something I'm going to make happen, I just want to expand so more people can enjoy the clothes that I love making, But in 5 years this is going to be a business that I'm making a living off of.
