Respect The Shooter: Angel "Raddambassador" leal - @raddambassador

September 18, 2018

Name or know as: Angel "Raddambassador" leal

City Based - Yonkers, NY

Instagram: @raddambassador

What got you into photography?

It all started when my compadre Sergio Orea gifted me a sticky shutter button Canon DSLR, and said to me "figure out how it works and what it is capable of doing so we can see where we take this". It took a whole lot of manuals and tutorials to understand what I was really doing, but learning more about the field I later came to discover this field was a great fit for me.

What equipment do you prefer?

Tamron 2.8mm 35mm (prime)

Canon 7600D crop sensor amateur-pro DSLR

What do you prefer to work with brands, people, landscape, etc?

I prefer working with clothing brands because of the high demand in abstract visuals in fashion, it puts me in a creative flux to deliver my best work. Although I enjoy every job for the complex creative procedure that is involved, I find zen in my work doing what I love.

If you could do a photoshoot with any brand/person in the world who would you choose and what brand use?

If I could shoot with any brand it would be "teenager" a thrash clothing brand by Blake Anderson a brand full of solid colors and abstract designs.

Brands I have worked with

Vision.nyc

Who are some people you get inspired by?

@ohrangutang is an magazine photographer and cinematographer from Argentina.

What drives you to be great at your craft?

My daughter drives me to be great at my craft. I feel growing at my passions has also helped me become a better parent. At times it may become challenging, but spending time with her reminds me who I'm doing it all for.

What advice would you give to a new person in the game?

My advice to some one new in the game, would be to learn from other photographers and create a network of people that complement your business. Also don't be afraid to start business. THERES NO BETTER TIME THAN NOW.
