HOUSE OF ERRORS DROPS ‘CLAIRIERE’: A FIELD GUIDE TO ESCAPISM

House of Errors just put out their new collection, CLAIRIERE, and it’s available now at houseoferrors.org.

The name translates from French to “clearing” — that patch of open sky you stumble into after getting lost in the trees — and the campaign imagery backs it up. Lookbook shots are all tall grass, tree bark, and golden-hour light, with pieces laid flat in overgrown fields or worn by a model leaning against a trunk like he’s been out there for hours. It’s House of Errors building a full world around the clothes instead of just dropping product.

The collection moves through three escapes: riverside, tennis club, and ski chalet.

Riverside is anchored by the Embroidered Moss Denim Jacket and matching Embroidered Moss Jeans (£680 / £600) — denim with a lichen-like moss pattern embroidered across the fabric like it’s been left out in the woods long enough to start growing something. Paired with the Morning Fishing Cardigan (£210) and a Vintage Fishing Cap (already sold out), it’s the most texture-heavy corner of the drop. The standout piece here might be the Cotton Swimming Hole Rugby (£200) — a fully illustrated knit scene of people swimming in a pond under a “NO SWIMMING” sign, styled in the lookbook with that same fishing cap and a striped circular crossbody.

Tennis brings a cleaner, old-money-gone-sideways energy. The Fine Knit Tennis Sweater comes in three colorways — Grass, Asphalt, and Clay (£200 each) — with the Grass version carrying a knitted scene of a couple walking hand-in-hand down a railroad-track path stitched into the chest. Round that out with the Vintage Tennis Tee (£130) and the Wool Tennis Jacket (£600).

Chalet pulls things up into the mountains. The Chalet Errors Hoodie and Tee (£220 / £100) both carry a hand-painted alpine window graphic — mountains, a lake, a canoe — with the “Chalet-Errors” wordmark below it in red. Add in the Shaggy Shark Zip Hoodie (£220) in mohair-textured fabric and the Shimmering Sequin Bomber (£550), the collection’s loudest piece.

Knitted basics tie the whole thing together — the Knitted Cotton Floating Polo and Rugby, Knitted Jet Schuss Tee, and Knitted Cotton Boat Trousers — built to move between all three worlds without committing to one.

CLAIRIERE is live now at houseoferrors.org, with select pieces already moving fast.
